Water Damage in the Ridgewood Senior Center
The pooling water on the commercial grade carpet at the Ridgewood Senior Center was caused by a burst water line in the fire suppressant system. The level above the plumbing received a small amount of water damage. Initially, we focused on extracting the water from the flooring using a water extractor and working swiftly. Our efforts mitigated damage to the furnishing and the wood baseboards. We did float the carpet around the arch area to ensure a thorough drying of the subfloor. Air movers increased the evaporation rate of the lingering moisture which was then captured by several gel humidifiers. We finished the work by lightly spraying a deodorizing agent to increase the ambiance of the affected area and improve the indoor air quality. SERVPRO successfully let the upcoming Holiday Party keep on schedule.
